Locknuts hold screws tightly
The TRI-DENT feature on PEM Type SL self-clinching steel locknuts helps hold mating screws tight by providing sufficient torsional resistance to withstand vibration, thermal cycling, and other disruptive forces. These locknuts also will allow for the screws to be removed and re-attached repeatedly without compromising the locking threads.

Locknuts’ modified threads enable easier tightening
The PEM S-RT self-clinching, free-running locknuts feature a modified thread angle, which allows mating screws to spin freely until clamp load is induced during the screw-tightening process. The applied clamp load engages the locknuts’ vibration-resistant locking feature, which secures the screw in place. PEM S-RT locknuts install into aluminum or steel sheets as thin as 0.030 in. and become permanent parts of an assembly.

Prevent mating screws from loosening
PemHex self-clinching prevailing torque locknuts have a blue nylon hexagonal insert designed to prevent mating screws from loosening. The reusable locking element provides the necessary torque resistance to securely grip mating screws and allow for their repeated installation and removal over time. These PL steel and PLC stainless steel locknuts install permanently in thin steel or aluminum sheets.
